Cancellation Policy
(90) days, or more, prior to the beginning of the rental term:
A guest may cancel the rental agreement, provided the guest notifies the rental agent, in writing.
In the event the guest notifies the rental agent, as described, seventy-five percent (75%) of rental deposit received will be refunded to the guest; and twenty percent (25%) of the rental deposit received will be retained by the rental agent.
Between (90) days and (45) days prior to the beginning of the rental term:
A guest may cancel the rental agreement, provided the guest notifies the rental agent, in writing.
In the event the guest notifies the rental agent, as described, fifty percent (50%) of rental deposit received will be refunded to the guest; and fifty percent (50%) of rental deposit received will be retained by the rental agent.
(45) days, or less, prior to the beginning of the rental term:
A guest may cancel the rental agreement, provided the guest notifies the rental agent in writing.
In the event a guest notifies the rental agent, as described, one hundred percent (100%) of rental deposit received by the rental agent will be retained by the rental agent, as liquidated damages.
Hurricanes:
In the event Key West is under a hurricane watch (or warning) within seven (7) days prior to a guest’s scheduled arrival date, and the guest decides not to occupy the house, and the guest notifies the rental agent, in writing, all monies paid by the guest may be refunded to the guest, or the the guest may receive a credit for a future stay (subject to availability) - at the option of the guest.
